Department for e-business



Courses of the Department of e-business use a number of different purpose applications. One part of applications is developed within the Department, and detailed information of them can be found at the following links:

  • CSMP 2004 – Application of graphic work with CSMP (Continuos System Modelling Program) language for continuous simulation.
  • GPSS – Environment for writing GPSS (General Purpose Simulation System) program, executing the simulation and presentation of results.
  • FONWebGPSS – Web application for work with GPSS system.
  • FONJGO – Android applications for Mobile Learning of Japanese language developed within the research of Department.
  • ELAB SMS – PaaS that enables students to integrate their own applications with the SMS service.

Some of the major applications that are not developed within the Department include:

  • WAMP Server – The package containing the Apache web server, MySQL database server and PHP scripting language, designed for the performance of the Windows operating system. Students can use Linux instead of WAMP to use equivalent XAMPP package. WAMP and similar packages are used in the majority of courses of the Department.
  • Blender – Blender is a free, powerful and complex tool for 3D modeling, which is used for creating animated films, interactive 3D applications and games. Working in Blender is processed in the Simulation and simulation languages course​.
  • Eclipse – The open-source extensible development environment primarily intended for programming in Java. It represents standard programming platform for the Android operating system, and can be used for work with PHP and other programming languages​​.
  • Android SDK – Package for the development of applications for Android operating system. Primarily used in the course mobile business, and is usually used in combination with the Eclipse development environment.
  • Fritzing – Software for design and prototyping hardware solutions. It is used on the course Internet of things.
