The aim of the course

Acquisition and dissemination of knowledge related to the Internet economy, its principles, methods and models.

Course outcome

Enabling students for independent scientific research work in the field of Internet economics with acquired competencies related to economic analysis and improving business results in the Internet economy.

Course content

Theoretical classes

Current approaches to the Internet economy. The influence of the Internet on the transformation of modern business. Information economics. New business models in the Internet economy. Business networks and Internet infrastructure. The theory of intellectual capital and the complexity of its measurement. Reduction of costs and economy of “growing yields”. The importance of exchanging information on the Internet, extranet and intranet in the conditions of modern business. Business virtualization and virtual value chain. Creating an online business strategy. Competitive advantages in the field of services in the Internet economy. The impact of the Internet on business performance. Improving business results in the global Internet market and new methods of measuring performance. Doing business on the Internet.
