Theoretical classes

Historical development of management.Basic concepts and definitions of management.Stages of the management process and levels of management: strategic, tactical and operational.Changes in management conditioned by the application of the Internet.The impact of the Internet on the stages of the management process and levels of management.Introduction to e-business and e-commerce.Basics of e-commerce.Business infrastructure.E-environment.E-business strategy.Supply chain management.E-procurement.E-marketing.Customer relationship management.The impact of the Internet on organizational change.Change management.Virtual organizations.The impact of management on the organization and services of the Internet.Intranet and its use in business functions.Extranet and electronic market characteristics.

Practical teaching:

Discussions with students and consideration of specific examples, case studies and analysis according to the content of the subject provided by theoretical classes.

The aim of the course

The primary goal of the course is to identify and consider the basic concepts of e-business management and define the decisions necessary for organizations that direct their business towards e-business, as well as to consider the processes in which such decisions can be made.The course also aims to provide current and future managers and IT professionals with knowledge and enable them to master the appropriate skills that will help them manage their organizations on the path to e-business.

Outcome of the course

Application of academic and professional knowledge, methods and techniques in the processes of planning, organizing, leading and controlling various jobs, ventures and organizational systems.Students will be able to apply advanced skills of team building, communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, leadership and motivation in business decision making.
