Module “Development and Management of Digital Products in Autonomous Web4 Ecosystems”

Topic title: Web4 and DeepTech Ecosystems: From Technology to Digital Product.

Topic content: Introduction to the Web4 paradigm and the DeepTech approach to digital product development – key characteristics and technological foundations (decentralization, cloud computing, AI/ML integration, human-centred interaction). Examination of the relationships among Web3, Web4, artificial intelligence, IoT, blockchain, cloud/edge infrastructure, digital twins, extended reality, and autonomous systems. Key elements and processes in the development of digital products based on Web4 technologies. Roles in product development. Digital product strategy and lifecycle in a Web4 environment. Particular emphasis is placed on how technological trends are translated into concrete digital products and services. 

Topic title: Application Domain Analysis I: Web4 and DeepTech in E-commerce.

Topic content: Analysis of the application of Web4 and DeepTech technologies in e-commerce, with a focus on personalized user experience, automation of sales processes, and the development of new models of digital exchange. Topics include the machine economy, autonomous commerce, AI agents in e-commerce, intelligent recommendation systems, dynamic pricing, blockchain for trust and transaction tracking, and the use of AI and cloud/edge infrastructure in developing innovative e-commerce solutions.

Topic title: Application Domain Analysis I: Web4 and DeepTech in Healthcare, Medicine, and Well-being Ecosystems.

Topic content: Analysis of Web4 and DeepTech solutions in healthcare, medicine, prevention, diagnostics, personalized care, health data management, and digital health ecosystems. Examples include AI assistants, IoT devices, wearables, patient digital twins, blockchain for medical data management, and decision-support platforms. 

Topic title: Application Domain Analysis II: Web4 and DeepTech in Agriculture and the AgriTech Industry.

Topic content: Analysis of the potential applications of Web4 and DeepTech technologies in modern agriculture and the AgriTech industry. Participants will become familiar with the challenges of the digital transformation of agriculture, including the need for more efficient resource management, production monitoring, supply chain optimization, risk reduction, and improved sustainability. Through practical examples and guest lectures from industry, participants will analyze problems, stakeholders, and opportunities for the development of innovative digital products in this domain.

Topic title: Application Domain Analysis III: Web4 and DeepTech in Education.

Topic content: Analysis of the application of Web4 and DeepTech technologies in education, with a focus on personalized learning, AI assistants and tutors, learning analytics, virtual laboratories, microcredentials, and digital education ecosystems. Participants will analyze how contemporary technologies can support teaching, learning, knowledge assessment, recognition of competencies, and connections among students, teachers, institutions, and industry through innovative digital products. 

Topic title: Identifying User Needs and Specifying Digital Products Based on Web4 Technologies. Design Thinking.

Topic content: Methods for identifying user needs in the Web4 context (anonymity, self-sovereign identity, new forms of interaction). Application of Customer Journey Mapping, user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) analysis. Introduction to creating a Product Backlog. Overview of the Design Thinking process: empathy, challenge definition, idea generation, prototyping, and testing. Consideration of techniques for creative thinking and innovative problem solving in Web4 environments. 

Topic title: Managing Digital Product Development: Methodologies, Roadmap, and Examples.

Topic content: Introduction to digital product development management through product discovery, product delivery, agile approaches, the MVP concept, product backlog, roadmap, feature prioritization, and the definition of success metrics. 

Topic title: Architecture Design and Prototype Development of a Digital Product Based on Web4 Technologies.

Topic content: Design of the basic architecture of a digital product based on Web4 technologies. Analysis of functional and non-functional requirements: security, privacy, scalability, interoperability, performance, reliability, and integration with external services. Definition of key system components, APIs, data sources, AI components, blockchain/decentralized elements, cloud/edge infrastructure, and the user interface. Particular emphasis is placed on rapid prototyping using modern AI tools and the vibe coding approach. 

Learning outcomes:

Upon completion of this module, participants will be able to: 

  • Explain the fundamental principles of the Web4 paradigm and the DeepTech approach, including the role of artificial intelligence, IoT, blockchain technologies, cloud/edge infrastructure, digital twins, and autonomous systems in the development of contemporary digital products. 
  • Analyze application domains of Web4 and DeepTech technologies across different industries, such as healthcare, medicine, well-being ecosystems, agriculture, the AgriTech industry, and education, and identify opportunities for developing innovative digital solutions. 
  • Identify key stakeholders, user needs, problems, and constraints in a selected application domain, while understanding how technological trends are translated into concrete digital products and services. 
  • Apply Design Thinking and Product Discovery approaches in defining problems, creating a value proposition, analyzing user experience, and specifying a digital product based on Web4 technologies. 
  • Define the basic elements of digital product development management, including the MVP concept, product backlog, roadmap, feature prioritization, and success metrics. 
  • Design the basic architecture of a Web4 digital product, including the definition of key system components, API integrations, data sources, AI components, blockchain/decentralized elements, and cloud/edge infrastructure. 
  • Create a digital product concept and prototype that integrates application-domain analysis, user needs, technological capabilities, and fundamental user experience principles. 
  • Present and justify the proposed Web4 digital solution, explaining the choice of application domain, target users, value proposition, functionalities, architecture, and opportunities for further product development.
