Held on December 4-5 at the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow. At the opening ceremony of the conference, Prof. Dr. Bozidar Radenkovic spoke about the collaboration between the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Organizational Sciences and the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as the collaboration between the Russian and Serbian branches of the IEEE Computer Society. Through collaboration with Arutyun I. Avetisyan, an academician of RAS and director of ISPRAS (Russian Academy of Sciences), and Sergey Prokhorov, president of the Russian branch of the IEEE Computer Society, we have achieved significant results: organized international conferences and lectures by distinguished scientists, and published a large number of joint papers.
The cooperation between our faculty and the Russian Academy of Sciences was initiated by Prof. Dr. Pavle Pejovic. Together with other members of the project team, he developed the hybrid computer HRS-100, which was completed in 1971. HRS-100 was intended for scientific and technical research, modeling of complex dynamic systems, and solving a whole range of scientific tasks in institutes in Moscow and Novosibirsk.
