Theoretical classes

Basics of mobile technologies. Wireless transmission technologies. Fourth and fifth generation mobile networks (4G, 5G) and the transformation of the infrastructure of mobile operators. Applications of 5G mobile networks. Mobile cloud. Edge computing and distributed cloud. Mobile ad hoc networks. Local wireless networks: WiFi, WiFi 6. Global positioning technologies: GPS, GLONASS. Short-range mobile technologies: RFID, Bluetooth, NFC. Ubiquitous Computing, Context-Aware and Wearable Computing. Augmented reality. Mobile operating systems. Development platforms, tools and environments. Mobile business services. Development of mobile applications in the cloud environment. Web services in a mobile environment. Mobile payments. Streaming multimedia to mobile devices. Augmented reality and immersive mobile environments. Mobile games based on virtual and augmented reality. Mobile technologies for IoT. Application of mobile technologies in e-commerce, digital marketing, healthcare, industry, energy, robotics, smart traffic, smart cities. Mobile crowdsensing. Mobile technologies and artificial intelligence. Mobile technologies and blockchain. Quality of service and user experience in mobile applications. Security in mobile applications. Trends in the development of mobile technologies, sixth generation mobile networks.

Practical teaching

Design and development of local wireless networks, WiFi. Development of Android mobile applications based on RFID, NFC and Bluetooth technologies. Development of mobile applications based on location services. Development of applications for mobile payments. Mobile applications in REST architectures. Firebase services in mobile application development. Integration of mobile applications with cloud services. Development of personalized mobile applications. Development of mobile applications based on augmented reality services, artificial intelligence, and blockchain. Mobile game development. Development of mobile applications for interaction with smart environments.


The aim of the course

The aim of the course is to introduce students to current technologies of mobile business, with a focus on mobile services and applications in 5G mobile networks.


Course outcome

Students are trained to design and develop mobile services in a 5G environment and integrate mobile services with cloud, IoT and VR / AR technologies.
